    Este texto tem como objetivo analisar a autobiografia de Eric Hobsbawm desenvolvida na obra Tempos Interessantes: uma vida no século XX (Cia das Letras, 2002). Para isso será dialogado com elaborações de alguns autores a cerca do gênero biográfico e autobiográfico, discutindo temas como memória seletiva, consideração sobre si mesmo, narrativa pessoal e o papel do indivíduo no espaço macro. Ao analisar tal livro, interessa perceber como Hobsbawm se vê como historiador, autobiografado e passageiro especial durante o conturbado século XX, como ele mesmo define. Tais reflexões, por hipótese, pretendem contribuir e problematizar elementos a cerca do gênero biográfico e seus encontros com a historiografia também percebendo limites, possibilidades e paradoxos como a memória seletiva do autor, ao lembrar sua longa vida e selecionar os aspectos fundamentais os quais desejou ver na obra que tematiza sua própria existência.

    The aim of this text is to analyze the autobiography of Eric Hobsbawm developed in the work in Interesting Times: A Twentieth-Century Life (Cia das Letras, 2002). To this will be conferred with elaborations of some authors about the biographical and autobiographical genre, discussing topics such as selective memory, consideration of self, personal narrative and the role of the individual in the macro space. In analyzing this book, interested to see how Hobsbawm is perceived as a historian, in this biography about yourself and a special passenger during the turbulent twentieth century, as he defines it. Such reflections, by definition, are intended to contribute and discuss elements about the biographical genre and his meetings with the historiography also realizing limits, possibilities and paradoxes as the selective memory of the author, remembering his long life and select the key aspects which wished to see the work that thematizes its own existence
