    Enif Robert (1889-1974), destacada activista de la vanguardia femenina en la revista L’Italia Futurista, escribió, en colaboración con F.T. Marinetti, una única novela: Un ventre di donna. Romanzo chirurgico(1919). Este libro insólito fue escrito en el fervor iconoclasta del primer futurismo bajo el signo del experimentalismo, pues su singularidad no sólo concierne al argumento (la narradora cuenta sin tapujos su enfermedad de útero y la operación a la que tuvo que someterse), sino también a su escritura, compuesta, de una parte, por las desinhibidas páginas autobiográficas de Enif Robert, y de otra, por las cartas que su amigo, el líder del Futurismo, le enviaba desde el frente para interesarse por su evolución. Un relato peculiar y raro en el panorama narrativo italiano de la época que, sorprendentemente, todavía está a la espera de una reedición.

    Enif Robert (1889-1974), an outstanding female avant-garde activist in the magazine L'Italia Futurista, wrote in collaboration with F.T. Marinetti, a single novel: A ventre di donna: romanzo chirugico (1919). This unusual book was written in the iconoclastic fervor of the first futurist wave under the banner of experimentalism, because it not only concerns the argument (the narrator candidly recounts her uterine disease, anexitis, and the operation to which she had to submit) but her writing also consists both of Enif Robert ́s uninhibited autobiographical pages and of letters sent by her friend, the leader of Futurism, from the front to inquire and thereby inform himself of her condition. A peculiar and rare story in the Italian narrative panorama of the time that surprisingly still awaits reprinting
