  En este trabajo, se analizan los sistemas de I+D+i de Galicia y la Región Norte de Portugal. A partir de una síntesis de la posición relativa de España y Portugal en el seno de la Unión Europea y en comparación con otros países de ésta, situamos a ambas regiones en sus respectivos contextos nacionales. La mayoría de los indicadores utilizados ponen en evidencia el insuficiente desarrollo, en términos comparados y agregados, del sistema de innovación de la eurorregión Galicia-Norte de Portugal.

  In this article we analyse the R+D+i systems of Galicia and the North Portugal euroregion. On the basis of a synthesis of the relative position of Spain and Portugal at the heart of the European Union and in comparison with other countries of this, we situate both regions in their respective national contexts. The majority of the indicators used reveal the inadequate development, in comparative and aggregate terms, of the system of innovation of the Galicia-North Portugal euroregion.
