  • La pression du modèle dominant fondé sur le mythe suicidaire de la croissance économique infinie, sur une planète aux ressources finies, s’accompagne d’une anesthésie grandissante de nos facultés de sentir ayant la fonction de prévenir les luttes pour un monde plus humain en alliance avec la nature. S’il faut penser la décroissance comme un combat contre l’industrialisme, il faut relier l’hégémonie de ce dernier aux fondements des croyances occidentales dominantes, en menaçant la diversité et la pérennité. On peut envisager l’idée de la décroissance (l’après développement) comme une esthétique de résistance face au technicisme et comme une nouvelle solidarité planétaire.AbstractThe pressure of the prevailing model, founded on the suicidal myth of unlimited economic growth, on a planet having limited resources, goes along with an increasing anesthesia of our feeling faculties aimed at preventing the struggle for a more human world in cooperation with nature. If we are to conceive ungrowth/degrowth as a struggle against industrialism, we must link the latter’s hegemony with the foundations of the Western beliefs ruling the world and threatening diversity and temporal continuity. We may envisage the idea of ungrowth/degrowth (post-development) as an aesthetic of resistance before technologism and as a new planetary solidarity.
