Nos encontramos en una encrucijada de vida o muerte. La calle marcada por las doctrinas de disuasión nuclear, derivadas de la teoría del balance de poder, característica de la visión realista de las relaciones internacionales, que otorga todo el protagosnismo a los Estados lleva a la extinción. La calle de la coexistencia pacífica, que trasciende esta mirada, y reconoce un mayor margen de acción a las sociedades e individuos con sus creencias y valores, nos brinda la oportunidad de sobrevivir. En este contexto, la India nuclear, con su legado histórico-cultural, es clave para el futuro de la humanidad.

We are in a life-or-death crossroads. The road of nuclear dissuasion doctrines based on the theory of balance of power, characteristic of the “realistic” approach to International Relations that reduces everything to rational choices based on the national interests of preeminent States, leads to extinction. That of peaceful co-existence which goes further in that it attributes a greater margin of action to societies and individuals with their values and beliefs, gives us a chance for survival. In this context, nuclear India with its historical and cultural legacy, is a key to the future of humanity
