“Club Gumersindo Saravia”: estratégia política, crédito e crença na constituição da liderança de Aparício Saraiva

    The article proposes a reflection on the foundation of the "Club Gumersindo Saravia" in the year of 1896 and as this ignited the momentum of nationalist supporters leveraging the leadership of Aparício Saraiva, making it the main political leader blanco at the turn of the nineteenth to the twentieth century. In this regard, we seek a discussion within the political history of biographical studies and "symbolic goods" (Bourdieu, 2008), demonstrating the relationship of this character with the border region, from different bonds, thus deepening the investigations, especially regarding the Brazilian - Uruguayan border

    O artigo propõe uma reflexão acerca da fundação do “Club Gumersindo Saravia” no ano de 1896 e de como este inflamou o ímpeto dos partidários nacionalistas alavancando a liderança de Aparício Saraiva, fazendo deste o principal chefe político blanco na virada do século XIX para o XX. Neste aspecto, buscamos uma discussão dentro da história política, dos estudos biográficos e dos “bens simbólicos” (BOURDIEU, 2008), demonstrando a relação deste personagem com a região fronteiriça, a partir de diferentes vínculos, aprofundando assim as investigações, especialmente no que tange a fronteira Brasil-Uruguai
