    Especially from the decade of 1930, a problematic gained emphasis on the society of the then Southern Mato Grosso: people started thinking of strategies, designing speeches and even finding ways to transform the city of Campo Grande in the city-symbol of divisionism, which during this period began to materialize. In view of this, this article attempts to discuss the interests of some local groups, more specifically of certain memorialist authors, on serving, throughout the 20th century, certain texts to the society of the then Southern Mato Grosso and, even more, to the population of Campo Grande city

    Especialmente a partir da década de 1930, uma problemática obteve ênfase na sociedade do então sul de Mato Grosso: passou-se a pensar estratégias, projetar discursos e inclusive encontrar meios para transformar a urbe de Campo Grande na cidade-símbolo do divisionismo, prática que nesse período começava a se materializar. Tendo em vista isso, este artigo intenta problematizar os interesses de alguns grupos locais, mais especificamente de certos autores memorialistas, em veicular ao longo do século XX determinados textos à sociedade do então sul de Mato Grosso e, mais ainda, à população campo-grandense.
