Os benzedores de São Miguel das Missões-RS: aspectos de memória e identidade

    This composition aim to analyze the blessings practice in the town of São Miguel das Missões, through reflection and discussion about the memory and identity from some practicings. Were used as the main subsidy in this article some healers’ narratives, whereat provide the understanding about the healer’s figure constitution and the mains features that compose his memories and the social relations that involve them individual and collective. As the result about the interviews we have an analysis about the depiction and expressions among the people that are in the society through a craft, on the dynamic culture, identity, legitimation from their blessings practice and relations where they live. The blessing’s craft, practiced, aired to the future generations, obey to the dynamics that necessitate to survive and to keep as an immaterial cultural reference from the town of São Miguel das Missões

    Este artigo visa analisar a prática dos benzimentos no município de São Miguel das Missões através de reflexão e debate relacionadas à memória e identidade.Foram utilizados como subsídio central neste trabalho narrativas orais de benzedores, os quais proporcionaram um entendimento acerca da constituição da ‘figura’ do benzedor e as principais características que compõem suas memórias e as relações sociais que os envolvem de forma individual e coletiva. Como resultado das entrevistas temos uma análise das representações e expressões dessas pessoas que se colocam na sociedade através de um ofício, numa dinâmica de cultura, identidade, legitimação de suas práticas religiosas e suas relações no meio onde vivem. O ofício de benzer, praticado, resignificado e transmitido às futuras gerações, obedece às dinâmicas que necessita para sobreviver e se manter como uma referência cultural imaterial do município de São Miguel das Missões
