Resumen de Distribuição e concentração da riqueza com base em inventários post mortem na presença de casos de riqueza líquida negativa

  We analyze the distribution and concentration of the wealth in 678 inventories of two localities (Iguape and Xiririca) of the Valley of Ribeira, São Paulo, opened between 1800 and 1880. From beginning, we distinguish the distribution of the rude wealth (adds of all the goods and to have pertaining to the inventoried) and of the liquid wealth (rude wealth deduced the passive debts). This as standard places the position of 64% of the patrimonies, being distinguished about 10% whose liquid wealth showed negative. Using as reference the economic activity tied with the inventoried one, we evaluate the impact of the use of the two measures in the distribution of the wealth and consider the use of the Gini coefficient that makes possible the incorporation of these negative values

  Analisamos a distribuição e concentração da riqueza concernente a 678 inventários de duas localidades do Vale do Ribeira paulista (Iguape e Xiririca), abertos entre 1800 e 1880. De início, distinguimos a distribuição da riqueza bruta (soma de todos os bens e haveres pertencentes ao inventariado) e da riqueza líquida (riqueza bruta, deduzidas as dívidas passivas). Este segundo padrão realoca a posição de 64% dos patrimônios, destacando-se cerca de 10% cuja riqueza líquida revelou-se negativa. Utilizando como referência a atividade econômica vinculada ao inventariado, avaliamos o impacto do uso das duas medidas na distribuição da riqueza e propusemos a utilização de um índice de Gini que possibilita a incorporação destes valores negativos.
