  A lo largo del siglo XVII varios arnedanos ocuparon cargos en las instituciones del Estado en los diversos consejos, como fiscales y oidores en las chancillerías y otras instancias del Estado. Entre ellos destaca José González de Uzqueta, del Consejo de Castilla y secretario del conde duque de Olivares, el primer miembro de una familia ampliamente representada en la administración, de la cual indicamos los principales cargos desempeñados por seis de sus familiares directos. Describimos sus relaciones familiares y aportamos nuevos datos sobre sus actividades y relaciones sociales en Arnedo.

  Throughout the seventeenth century several individuals from Arnedo held positions in the institutions of the state in the various councils, as lawyers and auditors in the chanceries and other instances of the administration. Among them, José González de Uzqueta, member of the Council of Castile and secretary of the Count Duke of Olivares, is the first member of a widely represented family, of which we indicate the main positions held by six of its members. We describe their family relationships, and provide new data on their activities and social relationships in Arnedo
