The article examines the transformation, immortality and the abject in the fleshlike wax sculptures of Ivana Baši’. Topics covered include the tensions and violence that she creates in her sculptures reminiscent to that often directed against female bodies, how her sculptural torsos which are on the verge of losing their form, shows abjection, and the approach to feminist-fantastical perspective of her sculptures which are a threat to bodily integrity.
