  • Resumen
    • It has been a decade since the subprime mortgage crisis, which originated in the USA and subsequently triggered economic downturns in the rest of the world. In contrast to the USA, the free market (and its ensuing outcomes) is viewed with a healthy dose of scepticism, and governmental regulation is widely regarded as being necessary, particularly to achieve equitable outcomes and social justice. Given the focus of the book on governmental regulation, a substantial portion of the book is based around the legal framework, property rights, and consumer protection law, including their history and evolution.
