La relació del filòsof txec Jan Patočka (1907-1977) amb Plató és una constant de laseva vida i pensament. L’estudi dels diàlegs platònics i de la història del platonisme ocupenuna gran part de les seves reflexions, escrits i cursos. Aquesta dedicació té un momentdestacat en la proposta d’un platonisme negatiu, projecte elaborat entre 1945 i 1955. Elpresent article ressegueix i analitza el trajecte que porta fins a aquest projecte, tot partintdels primers textos de Patočka sobre Plató a principis dels anys 1930 i passant per les lliçonsde finals dels 40 sobre Sòcrates i Plató a la Universitat Carles de Praga.

The relationship between Czechphilosopher Jan Patočka (1907-1977) and Plato is always present in his life and thinking.The study of platonic dialogues and the history of Platonism is a big part of his reflections,writings and lessons. The proposal of a Negative Platonism, a project elaborated between1945 and 1955, is an important moment of that occupation. The present article surveys andanalyses the development that leads to this project, beginning with Patočka’s first articleson Plato in the early 30’s and going through his lessons on Socrates and Plato at PragueCharles University in the last 40’s.
