    Las fístulas intestinales constituyen una temida complicación del postoperatorio de cirugía abdominal que puede afectar a pacientes de cirugía, urología o ginecología. Las manifestaciones clínicas pueden ser variadas, pero no es frecuente que la rectorragia se presente como primer síntoma.

    Exponemos el caso de un paciente con rectorragia como primera manifestación de fístula entre hematoma retroperitoneal y colon ascendente tras una nefrectomía.

    Intestinal fistulas are a feared complication of the postoperative abdominal surgery and they can occur in gastrointestinal, urological or gynecological surgeries. Clinical manifestations may be varied but rectal bleeding usually does not appear as the first symptom.

    Next we report the case of a patient with rectal bleeding as the first manifestation of a fistula, located between a retroperitoneal hematoma and the ascending colon, and appeared after a nephrectomy.
