    Se hace una breve descripción de la figura de los señoríos y las leyes que llevaron a la abolición de los mismos. Seguidamente se pasa a examinar el señorío de la isla del Hierro, detallando la relación de señores de esta desde la conquista de la isla por Jean de Béthencourt para la Corona de Castilla hasta la abolición en 1837. Se termina este trabajo con la relación precisa de las atribuciones de todo tipo que al señor de la isla del Hierro correspondían, después de más de trescientos cincuenta años de ejercicio continuado de dicho regimiento en la citada isla. Este trabajo contiene como Apéndice la transcripción íntegra del Legajo que recoge dichas facultades, que consideramos inédito.

    A brief description is given of the figure of the lordships and the laws that led to their abolition. Then we go to examine the lordship of the island of El Hierro, detailing the relationship of lords of the same since the conquest of the island by Jean de Béthencourt for the Crown of Castile until the abolition of the lordships in 1837. This work ends with the precise relation of the attributions of all kinds that corresponded to the lord of the island of El Hierro, after more than three hundred and fifty years of continued exercise of said regiment in the aforementioned island. This work contains an Appendix with the full transcript of the file that collects these powers, which we consider unpublished.
