  • The paper shows the influence of anacreontic topics in the Spanish poetry of the XVIII century, concentratin in N. Cienfuegos work. The author underlines the excellent knowledge Cienfuegos had of all those topics. He starts translating anacreontic poems; then he adapts and imitates some of them, and he finally creates his own poems under a very strong influence of those anacreontic topics.
