Resumen de La rebelión de las máquinas.: Arte, singularidad tecnológica y ciencia ficción

Este artículo plantea una reflexión a través del arte de componente tecnocientífico y neomedial sobre la noción de singularidad tecnológica y sus trascendentales consecuencias para la humanidad. Revisando ciertos argumentos presentes en la ciencia ficción que sirven de inspiración para algunos artistas contemporáneos, conceptos como inteligencia artificial y la propia singularidad destacan y permiten discutir asuntos que recuperan las principales ideas presentes en las teorías posthumanistas, en los recientes avances en la biotecnología o las dimensiones políticas, espirituales y éticas de las diversas modificaciones que la tecnología puede obrar en la condición ontológica del ser humano.Analizando diversas obras artísticas, se muestra la capacidad de proyección de nuevos escenarios de debate que la combinación consciente entre arte y ciencia ficción posee. Este hecho refleja las preocupaciones y anhelos que la actual sociedad manifiesta en su relación vital con las tecnologías digitales

This paper offers a reflection on the transcendental consequences of technological singularity on human societies through the analysis of techno-scientific and new media art. After reviewing several of the arguments staged in science fiction that have served as inspiration for contemporary artists, artificial intelligence and singularity itself highlight and allow a discussion of the issues that bring back ideas from post-humanist theories applied to recent advances in biotechnology or the political, spiritual and ethical considerations that technology exerts on the ontology of the human being.The capacity to project new scenarios for the debate between art and science fiction is shown by analyzing diversity of artworks, reflecting the concerns and yearnings that our society express in its vital relationship with digital technologies.
