    The history and the aesthetical evolution of a coin that is a symbol of the Portuguese Modernity between the mid-15th century and the second half of the 16th century. Since the Ceitil is the most common coin is archaeological excavations and at the same time easily degradable, it is very important to get as much information as possible from the less preserved coins.

Sendo a tipologia mais presente nos contextos arqueológicos de Lisboa mas ao mesmo tempo facilmente deteriorável, importa retirar a máxima informação dos exemplares menos conservados.
