  • In this issue, for example, we have spoken to Fatima Al Foora Al Shamsi, who is the Assistant Undersecretary for Electricity in the United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Energy as well as chief executive officer of the World Energy Congress’ organizing committee. Each of these distinct markets has seen shifts in both supply and demand over the past five years, not least the baryte market, in which the Indian and Chinese markets went head to head with their own supply. LME calling Far be it from me to blow our own trumpet, but I am very proud of the fact that in June this year Fastmarkets was selected by the London Metal Exchange as its partner to develop the lithium price benchmark (see page 10)
