    El texto de Ef 4, 3, forma parte del dossier antidonatista agustiniano. Se trata de un texto que san Agustín descubre y medita después de su ordenación episcopal, haciendo su primera aparición en las epp. 43 y 44. Se trata de un texto que san Agustín va a referir en algunas ocasiones unido a otros textos, particularmente al de Gal 6, 2, dándose esta vinculación siempre en un contexto antidonatista. Junto con los elementos antidonatistas, san Agustín nos presenta en muchas ocasiones, junto con el texto de Ef 4, 3 unas interesantes imágenes de lo que es la Iglesia. En el presente artículo se recogen algunas de estas imágenes que san Agustín nos ofrece en sus comentarios al texto de Ef 4, 3 dentro de su obra, como pueden ser la Iglesia como el arca de Noé, Betsabé como figura de la Iglesia, la Iglesia como una mujer que se viste con un polymitus, la Iglesia como la casa de Dios, la Iglesia como la luna, la Iglesia como el campo de Dios y algunas imágenes más.

    The text of Eph 4:3, is part of the Augustinian antidonatist dossier. It is a text that St. Augustine discovers and meditares after his episcopal ordination, making his fust appearance in the epp. 43 and 44. Ir is a text that Saint Augustine is going to refer to in sorne occasions, together with other texts, particularly that of Gal 6:2, this connection is done always in an antidonatist context. Along with the antidonatist elements, St. Augustine presents in his commentary of the text of Eph 4 :3 sorne interesting images of the Church. Inthis arride sorne of these images are presented, such as the Church as the Ark of Noah, Bathsheba as an image of the Church; the Church as a Woman who is dressed with a Polymitus; the Church as the House of God; the Church as the Moon; the Church as God's Filed, and sorne other images.
