    En el presente artículo quiere detallarse la situación de la mediación en el ámbito penal juvenil en Cataluña. El marco legal, haciendo referencia a las leyes que dan soporte al programa de mediación y reparación, tanto a nivel de menores como en el código penal de adultos. El proceso seguido, haciendo referencia a las etapas y elementos que trabajan en cada una de ellas. Los objetivos que se tienen en función de los jóvenes infractores, la víctima, la justicia y la comunidad en general. La importancia y el valor de la mediación en el proceso de reparación a la víctima llevada a cabo por el infractor.

    First of all, this essay shows the current situation of mediation in the penal field of youth in Catalonia. Secondly, it puts the stress on the legal framework - that is, it names all the laws that support the mediation and restoring programme, not only in the juvenile field but also referred to the penal code of adults. Then, the article talks about all the elements and phases taken into consideration throughout this process. Also, the aims that are proposed for every kind of juvenile delinquency - the victim, the justice and the communitiy as a whole. Finally, this article outlines the relevant value of mediation in the restoring process to the victim by the infringer.
