    Analizamos en este trabajo la riqueza patrimonial de la condesa de Alcaudete, María Ana López Pacheco y Álvarez de Toledo Portugal, que también ostentaba el título de marquesa de Villena. El patrimonio familiar de esta mujer perteneciente a la nobleza del siglo XVIII es analizado, siguiendo un método de análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo en el que se emplean como fuentes el Catastro del Marqués de la Ensenada correspondiente al Reino de Jaén, que fue realizado a mediados de la centuria y cuyos documentos se conservan en el Archivo Histórico Provincial de Jaén, y también se utilizan como fuentes las Comprobaciones realizadas una década después de la ejecución de dicho Catastro y que se conservan en el Archivo General de Simancas (AGS). El cotejo de ambas fuentes nos permite analizar, por un lado, la riqueza patrimonial heredada por la condesa en el territorio jiennense, patrimonio inmueble urbano y rústico; y, por otro lado, las estrategias patrimoniales que pudieron haberse llevado a cabo durante el periodo objeto de nuestro estudio. Se trata de unos años que resultan de especial interés por su condición de viuda y, por tanto, por su autonomía jurídica sobre la gestión personal de los bienes.

    It is analyzed the patrimonial wealth of the Countess of Alcaudete, María Ana López Pacheco Álvarez de Toledo Portugal, who also held the title of Marquise de Villena. It is studied the family heritage of this woman belonging to the nobility of the eighteenth century, following a method of quantitative and qualitative analysis. As source for the study has been used the Catastro del Marqués de la Ensenada corresponding to the Kingdom of Jaén, which was made in the middle of the century and whose documents are kept in the Provincial Historical Archive of Jaén; also are used as sources the checks made a decade after the execution of the Cadastre and which are kept in the General Archive of Simancas (AGS). The comparison of both sources allows to analyze, on the one hand, the patrimonial wealth inherited by the Countess in the Jiennense territory, urban and rustic real estate; and, on the other hand, the patrimonial strategies that could have been carried out during the period under study. It is about a few years that are of special interest due to her condition as a widow and, therefore, for her legal autonomy over the personal management of the assets.
