    Una de las infecciones de transmisión sexual con alto índice de contagio en adolescentes es causada por el  Virus del Papiloma Humano (VPH), esta se encuentra asociada con el inicio de la vida sexual a temprana  edad, con múltiples parejas sexuales, el presente artículo denota que es importante investigar sobre  conocimientos y las conductas de los adolescentes, esto con el objetivo de establecer el estado del arte al  respecto para diseñar estrategias de intervención en los adolescentes. El virus del papiloma humano es el  causante de numerosos tipos de cáncer como el cáncer de cuello uterino, cáncer de pene y cáncer  orofaríngeo entre otros, este virus también es el causante de lesiones como las verrugas genitales y  papilomas. Por tal razón y derivado de que este virus afecta en la salud tanto de mujeres como en hombres, ya que existe la vulnerabilidad a ambos de ser portadores asintomáticos y vinculados de la infección por el virus del papiloma humano, además contar con información respecto a este tema sirve para sensibilizar a los adolescentes sobre el virus del papiloma humano con la visión estratégica de disminuir la incidencia del virus. Contar con los conocimientos sobre el virus y las conductas de riesgo en este grupo de edad no garantiza resultados positivos, pero de no contar con ello definitivamente los resultados serán negativos siempre.

The human papilloma virus is the cause of numerous cancers such as cervical  cancer, cancer of the penis and oropharyngeal cancer, among others, this virus is also the cause of injuries  such as genital warts and papillomas. For this reason and derived from the fact that this virus affects the  health of both women and men, since there is a vulnerability to both being asymptomatic and linked  carriers of human papilloma virus infection, in addition to having information regarding this The topic serves to sensitize adolescents about the human papilloma virus with the strategic vision of decreasing the incidence of the virus. Having knowledge about the virus and risk behaviors in this age group does not guarantee positive results, but if you do not count on it, the results will always be negative.
