Sobre las categorías de grotesco, hermetismo e idilio, sugeridas por los estudios de José Olivio Jiménez y Manuel Juliá, tratamos de esbozar la estética de Dionisio Cañas añadiendo un hilo conductor: la novelización de la poesía. Nuestro poeta ha reflexionado en varios momentos sobre esta cuestión: romanticismo, vanguardismo y la oposición entre la mirada de lo real y la de lo irreal. Esa oposición entre lo real y lo irreal nos sirve de fundamento para exponer las dos dimensiones de su concepción del grotesco: el grotesco de lo real y el grotesco de lo irreal, que vamos a interpretar, siguiendo a Mijaíl Bajtín, como grotesco realista y grotesco romántico.

On the categories of grotesque, hermeticism and idyll, suggested by the studies of José Olivio Jiménez and Manuel Juliá, we try to outline the aesthetics of Dionisio Cañas adding a thread: the novelization of poetry. Our poet has reflected in several moments on this question: romanticism, the avant garde and the opposition between the look of the real and the unreal. This opposition between the real and the unreal serves as a basis for exposing the two dimensions of his conception of the grotesque: the grotesque of the real and the grotesque of the unreal, which we are going to interpret, following Mikhail Bakhtin, as realistic grotesque and romantic grotesque.
