    Las cuestiones hereditarias intrafamiliares, con tantas connotaciones públicas y privadas a la vez, seguían fundamentando los ascensos sociales en la Castilla interior, como ponía de manifiesto la Pragmática Sanción (1776). En ese contexto, nuestros principales objetivos responden a los interrogantes: ¿existían decisiones individuales que escapaban a la imagen tradicional rentista respecto a los bienes libres heredados por las familias nobles?; ¿las decisiones paternas sobre matrimonios y sucesiones buscaban el interés colectivo de su linaje, o entraban en juego factores privativos, deseos personales y afectividades? Siguiendo estos planteamientos, se analizará la controvertida evolución de los sucesivos repartos patrimoniales protagonizados por varios grupos nobiliarios leoneses a finales del Antiguo Régimen, utilizando una amplia muestra de dotes, testamentos e inventarios postmortem.

    The hereditary issues in the families were a combination of public and private aspects and the most remarkable reason to the social promotion in the interior of Castilla. It was displayed by Pragmática Sanción (1776). In this historical context, we have tried to answer some questions: First of all if noble families did not follow the traditional behavior of people with private income regarding the free goods inherited by them. Secondly if the parental decisions about marriages and inheritances sought the collective interest of their lineage, or different factors such as wishes and affectivity played an important role.Following these approaches we have analyzed the controversial evolution of the distribution of wealth in succeeding sharesout made by several noble families in Leon at the end of the Ancient Regime, using a wide example of dowries, legal wills and postmortem inventories.
