El “Contrapoder” en América Latina. Reflexiones marginales sobre un poder ético.

    El presente ensayo tiene por objetivo delimitar teóricamente la categoría “Contrapoder” de Joaquín Sánchez Macgrégor y reflexionar sus alcances y límites, en la construcción y transformación del poder en poder moral. Para ello se reflexiona en torno al análisis que el autor hizo de su propuesta, en función de dos movimientos sociales trascendentes para su época y para la nuestra: el movimiento estudiantil Consejo General de Huelga (CGH) de 1999 en la UNAM y el levantamiento armado del Ejercito Zapatista de Liberación Nacional (EZLN). Por último, se reflexiona la pertinencia de seguir pensando la propuesta de Contrapoder a partir de otras categorías latinoamericanas que buscan la transformación radical del poder opresivo desde un horizonte ético, para construir espacios comunes alternativos desde los cuales luchar contra la violencia y los abusos del poder.

    The objective of this paper is to theoretically delimit the "Contrapoder" category of Joaquín Sánchez Macgregor and to reflect on its scope and limits in the construction and transformation of power into moral power. To do this, we reflect on the author's analysis of his proposal, based on two important social movements for his time and for ours: Student Movement General Strike Council (CGH) of 1999 at the UNAM and the armed uprising of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN). Finally, the relevance of continuing to think the proposal of Contrapoder from other Latin American categories that seek the radical transformation of oppressive power from an ethical horizon, to build alternative common spaces from which to fight against violence and abuses of power is reflected.
