  El cristianismo penetró por vía indirecta en la legislación imperial, promoviendo la adecuación de las leyes imperiales a la doctrina cristiana. La impronta de los principios cristianos resulta manifiesta en el tratamiento dado al matrimonio del prisionero de guerra. En las fuentes es patente la evolución desde el principio clásico dirimitur matrimonium captivitate, hasta la declaración de indisolubilidad del matrimonio por prisión de guerra.

  The Christianism entered indirectly into the imperial legislation by promoting the adaptation of the imperial laws to the Christian doctrine. The influence of the Christian principles is evident in the legal treatment given to the marriage of prisoners of war. In the sources the evolution from the classical principle dirimitur matrimonium captivitate to the indissolubility of marriage of prisoners of war is clear.
