Grabados de pastores en las pizarras de Riocavado de la Sierra (Burgos

    Se hace en este artículo una catalogación y clasificación de los grabados llamados “letreros” por los habitantes del pueblo de Riocavado de la Sierra, en la vertiente sur de la Sierra de la Demanda perteneciente a la provincia de Burgos. Estos letreros son anotaciones grabadas por los pastores desde el siglo XVIII al XXI en las formaciones de pizarras que existen en los alrededores del pueblo. Nos relatan: anécdotas, dibujos geométricos, circunstancias meteorológicas, y un detallado inventario de nombres y apellidos, con sus fechas de realización, que nos proporciona una interesante información sobre aspectos genealógicos de este territorio de enclave serrano. Nos anima a realizar este trabajo la singularidad y exclusividad de dichos letreros en toda la Sierra de la Demanda. Esta circunstancia única, se debe fundamentalmente a las formaciones geológicas de los alrededores del pueblo, que más adelante detallaremos, y que ha ayudado a preservar dichos “grabados-letreros”. En el proceso de prospecciones de lugares propicios para localizar estos grabados de los pastores también hemos descubierto grabados de más antigüedad, antropomorfos y geométricos de probable adscripción a la alta edad media. Aunque a estos haremos en un futuro próximo un estudio particular, dada su exclusividad y rareza, creemos conveniente hacer el inventario de lo encontrado y las circunstancias de su descubrimiento. El trabajo de dos años de conversaciones con los pastores y con las gentes de Riocavado, prospecciones, descubrimiento de nuevas zonas, fotografiado, clasificación y catalogación, nos permitirá preservar este legado de incalculable valor que se estaba perdiendo tanto por circunstancias naturales como antrópicas.

    Artikulu honetan, Demanda Mendilerroko hego isurialdean dagoen Riocavado de la Sierra herrian aurkitutako grabatuak katalogatu eta sailkatu egingo ditugu. Bertako artzainek egin zituzten grabatu horiek XVIII mendetik XXI mendera bitartean, herri inguruan dauden arbelezko formazioetan, eta bertakoek “idazkun” izenaz ezagutzen dituzte.

    Grabatuok honako hauek adierazten dituzte: pasadizoak, marrazki geometrikoak, eguraldiaren gorabeherak eta hainbat izen-abizenen inbentarioa zehatza, datak eta guzti. Horiek guztiek oso informazio interesgarria eman digute mendiko lurralde honetako genealogiari buruz. Idazkun horiek oso bereziak dira, eta Demanda Mendilerroan bakarrik aurkitu dira; horrexek bultzatu gaitu lan hau egitera. Aparteko egoera horren kausa nagusia herriaren inguruan dauden formazio geologikoak dira -horien inguruko xehetasunak beherago emango ditugu-, izan ere, horri esker iraun dute “grabatu-idazkun” horiek hainbeste urtetan. Artzain horien grabatuak aurkitzeko aukerako tokietan prospekzioak egin ondoren, beste “idazkun” batzuk aurkitu ditugu, zaharragoak, antropomorfoak eta geometrikoak, goi erdi arokoak, ziur aski. Dena den, aparteko ikerlan bat egingo dugu etorkizunean azken horiei buruz, izan ere, oso bakanak eta arraroak dira; hortaz, inbentario batean jasoko ditugu aurkitutako guztiak, eta bertan zehaztuko dugu non eta nola agertu diren.

    Is this article a cataloging and classification of prints called “signs” by residents of the village of Riocavado de la Sierra, on the southern slopes of the Sierra de la Demanda. These signs are annotations recorded by shepherds from the 18TH century to 21TH in the formations of slates that exist in the surroundings of the village. They relate: anecdotes, drawings geometric, circumstances weather, and a detailed inventory of names and surnames, with their dates of realization, which provides us an interesting information about genealogical aspects of this territory of enclave highlands. We have been supported to this job by the singularity and exclusiveness of those signs in the whole Sierra de la Demanda. This unique circumstance is essentially due to the geological formation of the village surroundings, which will be explained later on, and that has helped to preserve those “prints/signs”. In the process of prospectings of appropriate places to find this signs of the shepherds we have also found older prints, anthropomorphic and geometric, probably assigned to the upper Middle Age. Although we will do a particular research of them in a near future, because of their exclusiveness and rarity, we think that is convenient to make an inventory of what he have found and about the circumstances of the research. The work of two years of conversations with the shepherds and people from Riocavado, prospections, discoveries of new areas, photographing, classifying and cataloging will let us preserve this legacy of incalculable value which was being lost both for natural and anthropic circumstances
