    En la ermita del Cristo (Pineda de la Sierra, Burgos) se han descubierto veinte estelas funerarias. Todas ellas, salvo una, están empotradas en sus muros y muestran motivos ornamentales muy variados. El tema principal es la cruz, pero también hay rosáceas hexapétalas, semicírculos concéntricos, dientes de sierra, bustos humanos, etc. Su cronología debe situarse en la primera mitad del siglo XIII, a juzgar por sus analogías con las estelas del monasterio de Las Huelgas de Burgos y por relacionarse con el primitivo cementerio medieval que tuvo esta ermita cuyos restos artísticos más antiguos, conservados en el ábside, pertenecen al Románico tardío.

    Kristo Santuaren baselizan (Pineda de la Sierra, Burgos) hogei hilarri aurkitu dira. Hilarri horiek guztiak, bat izan ezik, hormetan itsatsita daude eta era askotako apaindura-motiboak dituzte. Gai nagusia gurutzea da, baina errosazeo hexapetaloak ere badaude, eta bai zirkuluerdi zentrokideak, zerra-hortzak, giza bustoak eta abar. Horien kronologia XIII. gizaldiaren lehen erdialdeari dagokio, Burgosko Las Huelgas monasterioko hilarriekin dituzten analogiengatik eta baseliza honek izan zuen Erdi Aroko hilarri zaharrarekin loturik daudelako, zeren hango arte-aztarnarik zaharrenak, hau da, absidean ikus ditzakegunak, erromaniko berantiarrekoak baitira.

    Twenty stelae have been discovered in the Christ chapel (Pineda de la Sierra, Burgos). All of them, except one, are built into the chapel´s walls, showing a great variety of ornamental motifs. The main topic is the cross, but there are also six-leaf flowers, concentric semicircles, tooth-saw drawings, human busts… Their chronology must be set about the first half of the XIIIth century, considering their resemblance to the stelae located in the monastery of Las Huelgas (Burgos). These stelae are also related to the old medieval cemetery the chapel had, and whose oldest artistic remains, kept in the apse, belong to the late Romanesque.
