      Introdução: O excesso de peso é caracterizado pelo acúmulo excessivo de gordura corporal e já é considerado como uma doença crônica não-transmissível. Os fatores são complexos sendo eles multifatoriais, hereditários, ambientais, alimentares e sociais. Objetivo: Analisar a prevalência do uso de ansiolíticos e antidepressivos, nível de atividade física e doenças associadas em pacientes com excesso de peso em um ambulatório de atendimento nutricional na cidade de Caxias do Sul. Método: Tratou-se de um estudo transversal, descritivo e retroativo. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida em uma instituição de ensino privada na cidade de Caxias do Sul. A coleta de dados se deu através das análises os prontuários dos pacientes atendidos entre janeiro de 2016 a dezembro de 2017. Os resultados foram analisados por estatística descritiva, por meio do Microsoft Office Excel. Resultados: Foram coletados dados de 43 prontuários. Houve prevalência do gênero feminino, com média de idade de 36 anos, alta escolaridade e uma renda média de R$ 1.587,90. O sobrepeso esteve presente em 55,81% da amostra. Quanto às patologias encontradas, a mais prevalente foi hipertensão arterial. Quanto ao uso de medicamentos, a maioria (79,07%) não fazia uso de antidepressivo ou ansiolítico. No entanto, foram citados dez medicamentos ansiolíticos e antidepressivos, usados isoladamente ou em conjunto. O mais prevalente foi o cloridrato de fluoxetina. Conclusão: Houve baixa prevalência de uso de ansiolíticos e antidepressivos (20,93%) em pacientes com excesso de peso em um Programa de Assistência Alimentar e Nutricional na cidade de Caxias do Sul. ABSTRACTPrevalence of the ansiolitic and antidepressive use, physical activity and diseases associated in patients with excess weight in an ambulatory of nutritional care in the city of Caxias do SulIntroduction: Overweight is characterized by excessive accumulation of body fat and is already considered as a chronic non-transmissible disease. There was a prevalence of the female gender, with a mean age of 36 years, high schooling and an average income of R$ 1,587.90. Overweight was present in 55.81% of the sample. As for the pathologies found, the most prevalent was arterial hypertension. Regarding medication use, the majority (79.07%) did not use antidepressant or anxiolytic. However, ten anxiolytic and antidepressant medications, used alone or in combination, were cited. The most prevalent was fluoxetine hydrochloride. Conclusion: There was a low prevalence of anxiolytics and antidepressants (20,93%) in overweight patients in a Food and Nutrition Assistance Program in the city of Caxias do Sul.
