    En el presente texto se recorre brevemente la historia del Zen en Europa desde la perspectiva de la escuela Soto Zen yel linaje del maestro Taisen Deshimaru. Se hace también una aproximación sucinta a la relación entre Ciencia y prácticade la meditación Zen, aclarando los puntos de confluencia y los aspectos propios de la práctica del Zen.

    In the present text, the history of Zen in Europe is briefly reviewed from the perspective of the Soto Zen school and the lineage of the Zen master Taisen Deshimaru. It is also a succinct approach abouth the relationship between science andpractice of Zen meditation, clarifying points of confluence and the aspects of Zen practice.
