El espacio poético en respuesta a la represión del cuerpo

    El surgimiento de la dualidad cuerpo/razón en la Modernidad ha conducido a la concepción del cuerpo humano como una maquinaria que puede ser pulida y mejorada con el fin de potenciar las capacidades racionales del hombre. Esta noción no se restringe al ámbito tecno-científico, sino que forma parte del imaginario colectivo por su ampliada difusión en las industrias culturales. El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar las características de esta dualidad, sus consecuencias en lo referente al sometimiento del cuerpo y, en oposición a ello, la afirmación del cuerpo humano en algunas perspectivas filosóficas y en el poema “Bajo tu clara sombra” de Octavio Paz, donde el acto amoroso se convierte en apertura para el despliegue de las potencialidades corpóreas.

    The emergence of the body/reason duality in Modernity has led to the conception of the human body as a machine that can be polished and improved in order to enhance the rational capacities of man. This notion does not limit itself technoscientifically, but is also part of the collective imagination due to its expanded distribution in the cultural industries. The objective of this paper is to analyze the characteristics of this duality, its consequences on the submissionof the body in modern societies and, finally, the defense of bodily potentials both from the poetry and philosophical logos. The analysis of Octavio Paz’s poem “Bajo tu clara sombra” describes the loving act capacity to make restitution of the time of the body as it meets the Otherness.
