El artículo es una invitación a la reflexión entorno a la realidad de las instituciones residenciales en los diferentes ámbitos de la intervención socioeducativa. Plantea, en primer lugar, una pequeña disgresión sobre el pasado y el presente internadores, para comprender las claves del debate actual entorno a la institución. Finalmente, nos plantea hasta qué punto es posible hablar del internamiento en clave positiva, así como la necesidad de educar en la institución, a pesar de la institución.

The article is an invitation to examine the reality of internment institutions in the different fields of socio-educational intervention. Firstly, it makes a digression from the past to the present of the internment, in order to understand the main lines of today's debate over institutions. Finally, it raises the problem of to what extent it is possible to speak about internment in a positive way, while it underlines the necessity of educating the institution, in spite of the institution itself.
