    Con el estallido de la crisis financiera en 2007, se ha vuelto a poner de moda un tema que nunca nos ha abandonado: el fin del capitalismo. En el presente artículo intentamos exponer la visión de uno de los sociólogos alemanes más prominentes, Wolfgang Streeck. En primer lugar, veremos qué entiende él por “capitalismo.” En el segundo apartado, cómo interpreta el fin del capitalismo. Después veremos un poco más en detalle el relato que propone para entender cómo hemos llegado hasta esta situación y, por último, expondremos el entramado ideológico que, a juicio de Streeck, sostiene teóricamente el estado actual de las cosas.

    With the blast of the financial crisis in 2007, the theme of the end of the capitalism became once again fashionable. This article aims to expose the ideas about it of one of the most recognised german sociologists nowadays, Wolfgang Streeck. First, we will introduce his understandings about “capitalism.” Then, how he interprets the end of the capitalism itself. From there we will be able to appreciate the subtle nuances of the narrative he proposes to explain how we arrived at the actual point where we are now. The last section presents the ideological base that, in Streeck’s opinion, holds the current socioeconomic situation.
