    Este artículo, por un lado, tiene por objetivo abordar algunos de los acercamientos reflexivos que Gilbert Durand desarrolló en torno a la imaginación y el imaginario. Por otro lado, se pretende revisitar el invaluable legado teórico que dejó la obra del filósofo francés. Para ello, se realiza un repaso sobre ambos conceptos y los abordajes teóricos a los han sido sometidos por destacados especialistas. Esta propedéutica se inmiscuye en las profundidades de la imaginación y el imaginario para contextualizar y aclarar nociones de ambos conceptos. Posteriormente, se emprende una descripción y explicación del trayecto antropológico y los regímenes de la imagen propuestos por Durand, puesto que son éstas sus aportaciones más destacadas tras más de 25 años dedicados al estudio del imaginario. Ahondar en el ‘estructuralismo figurativo’ durandiano busca presentar el sistema de clasificación de las imágenes y, a su vez, el potencial primero del imaginario.

    This article, on the one hand, aims to address some of the reflexive approaches that Gilbert Durand developed around the imagination and the imaginary. On the other hand, it is intended to revitalize the invaluable theoretical legacy left by the work of the French philosopher. To do this, a review is made on both concepts and the theoretical approaches have been submitted by leading specialists. This propaedeutic is immersed in the depths of the imagination and the imaginary to contextualize and clarify notions of both concepts. Subsequently, a description and explanation of the anthropological trajectory and the image regimes proposed by Durand are undertaken, since these are his most outstanding contributions after more than 25 years devoted to the study of the imaginary. Delving into 'figurative structuralism' Durandian seeks to present the classification system of images and, in turn, the first potential of the imaginary.
