    Sideritis ×celtiberica (Labiatae) fue descrita en 1915 por Carlos Pau a partir de un material recolectado por el Hermano Elías, como producto del cruzamiento natural entre S. cavanillesii y S. ovata. Este híbrido ha pasado desapercibido a lo largo de la historia e incluso ha sido considerado como inédito y nomen nudum por algunos autores. En este trabajo se reivindica la valía de la descripción de Pau, precisando la identidad de los progenitores según la taxonomía actual del género, se tipifica el nombre y se amplía la descripción inicial, al tiempo que se aporta una amplia iconografía del nothotaxon y sus dos progenitores y una tabla con los principales caracteres de diagnóstico entre estas tres plantas.

    Sideritis ×celtiberica (Labiatae) was described in 1915 by Carlos Pau from a material collected by Brother Elías, as an hybrid between S. cavanillesii and S. ovata. This hybrid has gone unnoticed throughout history and has even been considered as unpublished and nomen nudum by some authors. In this work the value of the description of Pau is claimed, specifying the identity of its parents according to the current taxonomy of the genus, the name is typified and the initial description is extended. An iconography of the nothotaxon and its two parents and a table with the main diagnostic characters among these three plants are included.
