    La cirugía sin ingreso como modalidad asistencial ha tenido un considerable desarrollo durante los últimos años incrementando notablemente la eficiencia en la atención a pacientes susceptibles de procedimientos quirúrgicos que, con anterioridad, eran ingresados.

    Se pretende evaluar el estado de los pacientes intervenidos en cirugía sin ingreso en las primeras 24 horas postquirúrgicas mediante una encuesta telefónica, para analizar si se consiguen datos satisfactorios con estas intervenciones.

    Se observa una mayor incidencia de dolor en pacientes intervenidos de biopsia de próstata, así como una mayor demanda del teléfono de urgencias de los pacientes de cirugía plástica. También destaca la importancia del papel de enfermeria pre y postquirúrgico para reducir la ansiedad y complicaciones potenciales de la cirugía

    Surgery without admission as a care modality has had a considerable development during the last years increasing the efficiency in the attention to patients susceptible of surgical procedures that, previously, were admitted.

    We try to evaluate the status of patients who underwent surgery without admission in the first 24 postoperative hours by a telephone survey, to analyze if satisfactory data are obtained with these interventions.

    A higher incidence of pain is observed in patients undergoing prostate biopsy, as well as a greater demand for the emergency telephone of plastic surgery patients. Also highlights the importance of the nursing role pre- and postoperative to reduce the anxiety and potential complications of surgery.
