    Este trabajo tiene como finalidad exponer las aportaciones más relevantes referidas al régimen municipal castellano de los siglos XVI y XVII proporcionadas por la historiografía jurídica de los últimos veinte años, explicando las principales tendencias que se han seguido así como los avances conseguidos y las carencias que se observan.

    The purpose of this paper is to present the most relevant contributions referring to the Castilian municipal regime of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries provided by the legal historiography of the last twenty years, explaining the main trends that have been followed as well as the progress made and the lacks observe.
