    El objetivo del trabajo es estudiar y analizar el nacimiento y desarrollo de la red hospitalaria y asistencial en los pueblos de Albacete pertenecientes a la Orden de Santiago, en los inicios de la Edad Moderna.

    Los hospitales fueron establecimientos básicos para la atención a pobres, transeúntes y enfermos. En este estudio se investigan sus edificios, donantes, gestión, funciones, financiación y personal, así como la evolución que sufrieron desde la última década del siglo XV hasta finales del XVI.

    The main point of this project is the study and analysis of the hospital and assistance network’s birth and development in Albacete villages that belonged to the Order of Santiago, at the beginning of Modern Age.

    The hospitals were basic establishment to attend poor, travellers and sick people. In this study we investigate about their buildings, donors, management, functions, financing and personal, as well as the evolution they suffer from XV century’s last decade to XVI ends
