Al intervenir edificios patrimoniales, los grados de libertad suelen ser pocos dado que la estructura existente impone un orden y una serie de restricciones. Este edificio, sin embargo, muestra una interesante estrategia para superar las restricciones planteadas por lo existente: agregar una estructura paralela que aumenta los grados de libertad del proyecto y permite a los arquitectos definir un nuevo orden para la pieza existente.

When it comes to intervening on heritage buildings, the degrees of freedom are usually few because of the order and restrictions imposed by the existing structural skeleton. This building, however, shows an interesting strategy to overcome the limitations posed by the preexistent: adding a parallel structure to increase the degrees of freedom for design while allowing the architects to define a new order for the existing piece.
