La identidad de la oligarquía alicantina a través de la arquitectura residencial decimonónica de la huerta. Un caso de estudio central

    En la huerta de Alicante encontramos una serie de viviendas de carácter residencial que durante el siglo XIX se convierten en un símbolo identitario de la oligarquía urbana. Ésta ve cómo su poder se acrecienta con la compra de las mejores tierras de regadío de la mencionada huerta, tanto para modificar las construcciones existentes como para construir nuevas. En este trabajo planteamos el análisis desde una doble perspectiva. Por un lado, estudiamos la evolución de la relación existente entre la urbe y la huerta mientras que, por otro, analizamos la dualidad de las construcciones existentes en este espacio fértil. En este sentido, observamos cómo dicho símbolo de la oligarquía varía a lo largo del siglo XX hasta casi su desaparición, transfiriéndose dicho simbolismo a la propia huerta

    Alacanteko ortuan egoitza izaera daukaten etxebizitza serie bat topatzen dugu, hauek XIX. Mendean zehar hiri oligarkiako identitate sinboloan bihurtu ziren. Honen boterea handitu egin zen, aipatutako ortuen baratze ureztatu hoberenen erosketarekin, ez soilik aurretik zeuden eraikuntzak aldatzeko, baita berriak eraikitzeko ere. Lan honetan analisia bi ikuspuntuetatik planteatzen dugu.

    Alde batetik, hiri eta ortuaren artean dagoen erlazioaren eboluzioa ikertzen dugu; beste aldetik, zonalde emankor honetan existitzen diren eraikinen dualtasuna ere planteatuko da. Zentzu honetan, ikusiko dugu nola aipatutako oligarkiaren sinboloa aldatzen joaten den XX. mendean zehar, ea desagertu arte, sinbolismo bera ortura transferituz

    In the vegetable garden of Alicante we can find a series of residential buildings that became an identity symbol of the urban oligarchy, whose power increased by purchasing the best irrigation lands in the garden, both for modifying the existent buildings and for the construction of new ones.

    In this work we approach this analysis from a double perspective. On the one hand, we study the existent relationship between the city and the garden and its evolution, and on the other hand, the concept of duality in the existent buildings in this fertile landscape. In this sense, we have noticed how this oligarchy symbol varies throughout the twentieth century until its ending, transferring that symbolism to the garden itself
