Guías geotécnicas aplicables a proyectos y obras en terrenos volcánicos: Getcan y Macastab

    Los gobiernos regionales de Canarias, Azores y Madeira deben desarrollar documentos normativos que recojan la singularidad de sus terrenos volcánicos y que faciliten la aplicación de las normas que dictan sus respectivos países en materia constructiva. Por este motivo, surge la guía GETCAN-011, como metodología para la realización de estudios geotécnicos para edificación en Canarias, pero que se puede aplicar a cualquier territorio volcánico del planeta. A raíz de la convocatoria de proyectos del Programa de Cooperación INTERREG V-A España-Portugal MAC (Madeira-Azores-Canarias) 2014-2020, los gobiernos regionales de Canarias, Azores y Madeira, junto a la Universidad de Cabo Verde, se han unido para trabajar en el proyecto MACASTAB, que pretende facilitar la gestión de un problema geotécnico común, los movimientos de laderas y taludes. En este artículo se presentan las aportaciones de ambos proyectos al ámbito de la Geotecnia en terrenos volcánicos.

    The regional governments of the Canary Islands, the Azores and Madeira must develop normative documents that reflect the uniqueness of their volcanic soils, and that facilitate the application of the rules dictated by their respective countries in constructive matters. Far this reason, the GETCAN-011 guide was created as a methodology far geotechnical studies far building on the Canary Islands, but it can also be applied to any volcanic territory. Following the call far projects of the INTERREG V-A Spain-Portugal MAC (Madeira-Azores-Canarias) 2014-2020 Cooperation Program, the regional governments of the Canary Islands, the Azores and Madeira, together with the University of Cape Verde, have joined forces to work on the MACASTAB project, which aims to facilitate the management of a common geotechnical problem, that's, the movements of hillsides and slopes. This article presents the contributions of both projects to the field of Geotechnics in volcanic terrains.
