Resumen de La Llei 5/2000 en I'ambit de la protecció a la infància i adolescència: un projectil dirigit a la línia de flotació

El artículo recoge cómo puede afectar la aplicación de la Ley Penal Juvenil 5/2000 en el ámbito de protección a la infancia, que en Cataluña está bien diferenciado del ámbito de Reforma. En síntesis, se recoge la dificultad para atender una población adolescente que presenta unas características conductuales muy específicas y que hasta el momento se atendía desde el ámbito penal. También se recogen las dificultades con la implementación, fijándonos en la poca previsión en la planificación. Finalmente el autor intenta dar pistas orientativas por dónde tienen que ir los tiros de intervención en Cataluña con esta nueva realidad que dibuja la ley 5/2000.

The article deals with the effect of the enforcement of the Juvenile Penal Law 5/2000 in the sphere of child protection, which in Catalonia is different from thal of child reform. To summarise, it addresses the difficulty in attending an adolescent population with very specific behavioural characteristics, and which hitherto were addressed from the penal setting. It also deals with the difficulties of enforcement, and the scant degree of foresight in the planning. Finally, the author tries to give some pointers as to how the Law should be enforced in Catalonia with this new reality framed by Law 5/2000.
