  • The article provides an overview of writer Gary Indiana's writings as art critic for the "Village Voice" newspaper from 1985-1989. Topics discussed include Indiana's collected columns, titled "Vile Days," editor Bruce Hainley's citing of Indiana's indifference to the reissuance of his writings, some of his writings for the New Museum's 2005 exhibition "East Village USA," and his tours of banks in New York City to discuss the art displayed and observe the interaction of business humanism.
