The Oneirocritica by Artemidorus Daldanius is used in this paper as an encyclopaedia on the interpretation of dreams and a great number of autors of oneirocritica (from the 5th century b.C. till the 4th a.C.) are got out of the anonymity. The article offers a contribution to the history of this suggesting literary subgenre.
