    El presente trabajo expone en contexto las razones de la victoria romana sobre las armas de los reinos helenísticos en diferentes guerras, según las propuestas de Polibio. En ellas determinaremos que tan importantes resultan las razones operacionales y logísticas sobre las mismas y la importancia que reviste para los romanos su capacidad de adaptación y flexibilidad, que son precisamente el tipo de análisis que propone el autor inglés John Keegan en su conocido texto “El rostro de la Batalla”, con el fin explorar otros aspectos más profundos del relato político-operacional bélico.

    The present work exposes in context, the reasons of the Roman victory over the weapons of the Hellenistic kingdoms in different wars, according to the proposals of Polybius. In these reasons, we will determine how important are the operational and logistic reasons about themselves and the great importance for the Romans and their capability of adaptation and flexibility, that are precisely the kind of analysis that proposes the English author John Keegan in his known book “The Face of Battle”, aimed to explore other deeper aspects of the political-operational war story
