  Constructing and analyzing lists of publications by relevant authors in different areas of knowledge production can provide useful tools for historiographical analysis and can serve as a reference guide for researchers and students. Because of the importance of such listings, several authors in behavior analysis have published lists of Skinner’s publications and analysis of those lists. In the contexts of Psychology and behavior analysis, Murray Sidman is an author with widely recognized relevance. Based on this, the aim of this work was to build and characterize a list of Sidman’s publications. For the construction of the list presented here, a list produced in 2000 was used, which was updated from searches on the platforms PsycNet, PubMed, and Google Scholar. A total of 147 publications and 36 republications of works authored by Murray Sidman, published between 1952 and 2014, were identified. His publications are contained in 22 books, 40 periodicals and four congress proceedings. His list of publications is broad and diversified regarding the number of publications, topics covered and publication vehicles. Sidman has published both experimental studies and essays, with the latter being the primary publication type in recent years. The method used in the present article can be replicated in other investigations involving the construction and characterization of lists of publications by leading behavior analysts, foreigners or Brazilians.

  A construção e a análise de listas de publicações de autores relevantes para as diferentes áreas de produção de conhecimento pode fornecer ferramentas úteis para análises historiográficas e servir como guia de referência para pesquisadores e estudantes. Para a análise do comportamento, Murray Sidman é um autor com relevância amplamente reconhecida. Com base nisso, o objetivo deste trabalho foi construir e caracterizar uma lista de publicações de Sidman. Para a construção da lista aqui apresentada, uma listagem produzida em 2000 foi atualizada a partir de buscas nas plataformas PsycNet, PubMed e Google Acadêmico. Foram identificadas 147 publicações e 36 republicações de trabalhos com autoria de Murray Sidman, disseminadas entre os anos 1952 e 2014. A sua obra mostra-se ampla e diversificada em relação ao número de publicações, aos temas abordados e aos veículos de publicação. Seus escritos estão contidos em 22 livros, 40 periódicos e quatro anais de congresso. Sidman publicou tanto estudos experimentais quanto ensaios, sendo estes últimos predominantes nos últimos anos. O tema mais recorrente em seus trabalhos foi controle de estímulos. O presente artigo apresenta um método que pode ser replicado para sistematizar e analisar a obra de outros autores importantes na análise do comportamento.
