  Este artículo contiene un análisis de tres libros libros sobre América del Sur que representan la literatura de viajes contemporánea de Alemania. La teoría básica utilizada para este análisis es la geopoética. En el artículo se discutirán algunos aspectos geopoéticos seleccionados en los tres libros analizados. En primer lugar, las características espaciales generales de los viajes sudamericanos de los autores. Por otra parte, se analizará el contexto de la literatura que aparece en dichos libros. Como “contexto literario“ entendemos diversas referencias textuales a la literatura.

  Estas referencias pueden ser divididas en tres grupos: a) las referencias intencionales, a escritores o trabajos literarios, b) encuentros accidentales, no intencionales con obras literarias y c) así llamados “viajes literarios“. Los tres grupos juntos forman un “mapa del contexto literario“ en los libros analizados. El mapa es una parte integral de los aspectos geopoéticos de estos libros.

  Der Artikel enthält eine Analyse von drei nichtfiktiven Werken, die die zeitgenössische deutsche Reiseliteratur über Südamerika repräsentieren. Die zugrunde liegende Theorie der Analyse ist die Geopoetik, die auf der Grundlage breiterer theoretischer Richtungen wie z.B. „räumliche Wendung“ entwickelt wurde. Demzufolge wurden ausgewählte geopoetische Aspekte in den drei Werken analysiert. In erster Linie, die allgemeinen räumlichen Charakteristika der einzelnen Reisen. In weiterer Folge, der sogenannte „Literaturkontext“, also diverse Zusammenhänge der analysierten Texte mit der schöngeistigen Literatur. Diese Zusammenhänge kann man in drei Hauptgruppen unterteilen: a.) gelegentliche, narrative Bezüge auf Literatur, b.) unbeabsichtigte Begegnungen mit Literaturwerken und c.) „Literaturreisen“. Alle drei Gruppen bilden zusammen eine „Landkarte des Literaturkontextes“ jedes Werkes. Diese „Landkarte“ stellt wiederum den integralen Bestandteil der geopoetischen Sphäre der dargestellten Werke dar.

  This article contains an analysis of three books representing contemporary German travel writing about South America. The basic theory used for the analysis is geopoetics, which has been developed on the grounds of broader theoretic directions, like e.g. „spacial turn“. We discussed only a few selected geopoetical aspects in the three analysed travel books. First, we analysed the general spatial characteristics of the travels of the German authors. On the other hand, we analyzed the literature context appearing in these books. As the „literature context“, we understand various textual references to literature. These references can roughly be divided into three main groups: a.) the occassional, intentional references to writers or literature works, which accompany the narrative process, b.) accidental, unintentional encounters with literature works during the travel and c.) so called „literary travels“. All three groups together form a kind of „map of the literature context“ in the analyzed books. The map is an integral part of the geopoetic aspects of these books
