    Adentrarse en los territorios de las relaciones, en las redes de filiación y de circulación en las que se instalaron las artistas chilenas, especialmente al interior de las asociaciones femeninas, es el objetivo de la presente investigación. Queremos identificar los puntos de conflicto que surgen entre 1914 y 1927 que implican no solo asuntos de género, sino, también, de diferenciación social, económica y subjetiva sobre el concepto de clase. ¿Cómo se relacionan las artistas en este periodo? ¿Qué lugar ocupan en las discusiones contemporáneas sobre el feminismo? La identificación de sus discursos visuales e intelectuales nos permite considerar la producción femenina como un escenario de profundas discusiones que alteraron el orden simbólico del canon establecido hasta entonces.

    The purpose of this paper is to study thoroughly the territory of relations, networks and circulations established among Chilean women artists, especially within various women’s associations. We intend to focus on the conflicts that emerge between 1914 and 1927 which not only involve the issues of gender but also social and economic differences as well as the concept of class. How do women artists relate between each other during that period? What is their position within the contemporary discussions about feminism? The identification of their visual and intellectual discourses makes it possible to perceive the female artistic production as a space of wide-ranging discussions that altered the symbolic order of the established canon.
