  • Resumen
    • Study of the cork growth over stem is a complicated task, concerning the amount of measurements which have to be taken to representatively evaluate the differences in growth in different height parts of stem. It is possible to compare the photos taken before debark and after debark to evaluate the changes and like this assess the growth of cork. In the photos there are two objects (stems) to compare: one larger and darker in the photo before debark and second finer and orange in the photo after debark. The difference between these two objects is the cork width. In the field conditions, the principal problem is to take picture twice from the same position, the same angle and same inclination of camera. Various approaches of fixing the camera on the same position evaluated during the work are presented and discussed. The algorithm for automatic evaluation of images is presented.
